Branding is no easy thing. It can be very complicated and time consuming to decide on the things that will help your business be recognized around the world, but these are the most important decisions a business owner will ever make. You cant see the colors red and yellow together without thinking of a Big Mac and fries. If you hear the words "Just do it" you think of the '90's Nike slogan. This is the kind of coloration you're creating when you choose your branding. Even the US government has branding with its "e pluribus unum" slogan plastered on every coin and dollar bill ever printed. You need a brand if you're going to create a successful business.

Here we are going to discuss 5 things that will help you when trying to brand your business.
Market Analysis
Research is the key to a smart business. Understanding the type of potential customer and their purchasing habits plays greatly in the favor of the business. There are times of day, month, or even seasons of the year when things have the greatest potential to make the most money. This is why it is nearly impossible to find a swim suit in the middle of December, unless of course you live in the tropics.
Its also important to remember that price points are important. You want to make sure that your target audience has the financial ability to put forward the money that you're asking for your product.
Competitive Advantage
There is something that makes you and your product special. There are so many people with so many ideas in the world that it makes it hard to come up with a completely original one. That is not a problem. Just because I want to sell sea shell necklaces doesn't mean that I can't sell them right next to Sally on the seashore. What makes my necklaces different is what is important. Maybe I have bigger shells. Maybe Sally is selling plastic ones and mine came from the beach. Maybe I have a great back story that makes me a more interesting sales person. You never know what a potential customer will cling to so lay it all out there. Give each piece of your business everything you've got and you'll get noticed.
Brand Vision and Name
Your business is a piece of you and that should be reflected in the name. Maybe not necessarily your exact name, but still, something that matters to you. Its important that your name and your brand be something you can be proud of. You want it and ideas to flow naturally from you to make working (and there will be a lot of working) easier. If it helps, you can collect some items that inspire you and make a vision board. Use it to inspire a color pallet and design for your business.

Core Branding Assets
Remember that thing I said about McDonald's? Colors of your brand play a large part in aiding your potential customer is deciding to buy from you. This is why you would see a boho website with light and neutral tones instead of neon. They want to convey a cool, relaxed vibe and their colors help with the feel of that.
Your logo is also part of what make a potential customer think of you. When you walk up to your house at the end of the day and there is a box on your porch that is grinning at you, you know that your amazon order has arrived. This is the way your customers will know you. They should be able to pick you out of the masses.

Online Presence
The internet has changed the way that the world does business. An online presence gets you and your product into the hands of people all over the world at the click of a mouse. So much of our shopping is done online that companies like Toys R' Us have gone out of business. Why not be a part of that? Let the internet do the leg work for you.
Do your research and create something that you love. You can also hire someone to help you!
Your bottom line will thank you for it later!
